Before you email
- Refresh: try a full refresh (Ctrl/Cmd + R).
- Try another browser: Chrome or Safari is best.
- Check account: make sure you’re signed into the correct Google account.
- Parent controls: manage kid profiles and settings in the Parent Dashboard.
- Teacher controls: manage students, class codes, and PIN slips from the Teacher Dashboard.
Common issues
- Can’t sign in: try signing out of Google in your browser, then sign in again. If you have multiple Google accounts, switch to the one you used for Friendrot.
- Kid profile missing: open the Parent Dashboard and confirm you’re in the right parent account. Profiles are tied to the parent account.
- Student can’t join classroom: double-check the class code and the student’s PIN. You can regenerate both from the Teacher Dashboard.
- PIN gate issues: PIN and parent-mode controls are managed in the Parent Dashboard. If you’re locked out unexpectedly, contact support.
- Game not loading / stuck: refresh the page, then try again. If it keeps happening, tell us which game and what device you’re using.
- Report a bug: include what page you were on, what you clicked, what you expected, and what happened instead.
Safety concerns
If you believe a child’s safety is at risk or you’ve encountered inappropriate behavior, email us immediately at hello@friendrot.com with the subject line "Safety concern". These reports are prioritized.
Account deletion
Parents can delete kid profiles and their associated data from the Parent Dashboard. Teachers can remove students or delete entire classrooms from the Teacher Dashboard. To delete your adult account entirely, email us at hello@friendrot.com.
What to include in your message
- The email on your account (the Google account you used to sign in)
- Device + browser (e.g., iPad Safari, Windows Chrome)
- The game name and what you were doing
- A screenshot if possible
